Nine recovered dead in Lagos building collapse
Nine bodies have been recovered in Thursday’s building collapse along old Ojo Road, Alakija Bus-Stop, Satellite Town area of Lagos State as death toll rises.
This is as 27 persons were rescued alive by emergency responders from the rubble of the building.
This was disclosed by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in an update sent to Daily Sun on Friday morning.

Earlier, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that eight persons, including an infant girl, had died while 26 other victims were rescued from the rubble as emergency responders continued search and rescue operations at the scene.
It was earlier reported that the building, which housed shops and business premises, collapsed some minutes before 12 noon on Thursday, prompting the activation of the state’s emergency response system.
