Former IGP Mike Okiro hosts CityBoy Movement flag in Abia, backs Tinubu’s 2027 re-election

Former Inspector-General of Police, Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, has officially hosted the CityBoy Movement flag at the Movement’s Abia State Headquarters, commending its Patron, Seyi Tinubu, for establishing what he described as a platform capable of strengthening grassroots mobilisation and political participation across the country.

Sir Okiro was received by the State Director of the CityBoy Movement, Abia State Chapter, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), alongside other leaders and members of the Movement.

Speaking during the visit, the former police chief praised Seyi Tinubu for his vision in creating the CityBoy Movement, noting that the initiative has provided a platform for mobilising young people and encouraging active participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.

He also reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging members of the Movement to remain steadfast in advancing the President’s political agenda and to mobilise support for his re-election in the 2027 general elections.

Sir Okiro called on members to remain united and committed, stressing that collective efforts at the grassroots would be crucial to the Movement’s success and the achievement of its political objectives.

In his remarks, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe described the occasion as a milestone for the Abia State Chapter, expressing appreciation to Seyi Tinubu for the vision behind the CityBoy Movement and thanking Sir Mike Okiro for officially hosting the Movement’s flag.

The State Director also commended the Director General of the CityBoy Movement, Hon. Francis Shoga, the National Executive, and the National Working Committee for their leadership and commitment to expanding the Movement’s presence across Nigeria.

According to Igbokwe, the growing structure of the CityBoy Movement in Abia State reflects the dedication of its leadership and members to grassroots mobilisation and political engagement.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Abia State Chapter to the ideals and objectives of the Movement, expressing confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would secure re-election in 2027.

Mayor Igbokwe further urged members and supporters across Abia State to remain united, organised, and focused as the Movement continues to strengthen its grassroots structures and expand its mobilisation efforts ahead of the next general elections.

The event ended with a renewed commitment by members of the CityBoy Movement to deepen grassroots participation and support the Movement’s vision of promoting inclusive political engagement and national development.
